Is Nigeria really rich and healthy? Oh.... You really want to answer yes. But it's ok if you have not considered the facts that we can see, touch and feel. I'm sure that you'll agree that we should leave the unseen factors to God.
To really think about what we can see... We see a lot of people sharing a lot of money (money so much that it’s not up to one-tenth of United States budget in one year). To go deeper into how much money Nigeria has to spend, we would be scared one rich man from the middle east or North America will not suddenly wake up to thinking of buying Nigeria. God forbid, you just thought. (Coz we all love Nigeria). Nigerian isn't so rich relative to other countries of the world composted with their population.
What can we touch with our hands and legs? Our hands can touch our pillow in the dark and try to reach for the rechargeable torch so we won't fall down when we go to the toilet at night. (That's a sad reality).
Our legs can walk on untarred roads when fuel is scarce and we have not been taught to ride a bicycle. These are critical infrastructures that usually define a rich nation and serve as the backbone of development.
So what do we feel about Nigeria and it's system.. I hope you feel good about her at least it's our land and we are the happiest nation on earth. But deep down, are we supposed to feel good when a world leader said we are fantastically corrupt, or when our people get killed in South Africa that we once helped to stand on her feet. We are being deported from many countries of the world and our currency is not valuable in the international market.
Our state of health speaks a lot about how we have felt, touched and seen about Nigeria.
Most countries with a great health system achieve that status after they have developed their country.
If countries worse than Nigeria have made it in the past, we have no excuse, let's go fix our country and fix our healthcare system.

The fact speaks for itself. Nigeria's population has almost tripled in 40 years but our GDP still remains relatively low compared with other countries of similar or less population.

Watch out for how to fix a country and its health system.
